Our customer was already using our Solar Panel division to reduce his dependence on electricity from the grid. We discussed his aspirations for his home and quickly realised that his plan was to renovate the home to ensure that it was as energy efficient as possible. With the Boiler Upgrade Scheme in place, it has become much cheaper for homeowners to access funding to support the transition towards renewable heat sources. Our technical team were able to establish the system size required to power the impressive 1920’s house and with ample garden/grounds to support the installation of pipework, Ground Source heating quickly became the most viable, long-term solution for our customer. The installation took just over one week in total due to the ground preparation works required and then the connection of the heat pump to the existing infrastructure within the property. With heat pumps working most efficiently in insulated homes, we were able to offer a turnkey solution that included cavity wall and loft insulation upgrades.
