Sectors We Cover
Residential
If you are looking to upgrade your existing home with the latest in renewable and energy efficiency technology, ThermoHome could be your ideal partner. Offering a range of solutions for the discerning homeowner, you may wish to consider one or more from our product offering. Many of our customers aspire to invest in a multitude of technologies to improve the energy efficiency of their homes and we approach each project with a view to helping our customers achieve their goals. Insulation should always be the first consideration when improving the energy performance of a home. Once adequately insulated, Solar PV and Heat Pumps can help your home to reduce its dependence on expensive energy from the grid. Whether you’re a homeowner looking to add some insulation to improve the EPC rating of your home, or you’re motivated to do your bit for a sustainable environment, we’d be delighted to specify, design and install one or more of our technologies.
New Build
When building your dream home, you’ll be targeted to meet the current Building Regulations and SAP requirements for the property. Many new homes incorporate renewable technologies to ensure they not only meet these targets but are able to thrive in a sustainable and cost-effective manner for the long-term. Quality insulation is always the first consideration when building a new home whilst ensuring the building assembly is constructed to allow for the level of thermal mass required. Once you have protected heat from escaping the home, it’s important to ventilate the property for a healthy living environment. Generating your own electricity and heat from renewable sources such as Solar PV and Heat Pumps will help you to live almost independently from the grid whilst saving you money for the long-term future. Our technical team specialise in designing and specifying a range of renewable technologies to ensure that your new home meets future energy demands.
Landlord/Tenant
The obligation for a home’s energy performance sits firmly with the landlord and it can be confusing to choose the correct path on meeting EPC criteria. Whilst choosing the cheapest products may help to tick the box for an EPC, we approach each case by specifying a long-term solution that provides peace of mind. Our ventilation solutions are useful for landlords who wish to maintain the fabric of their building and protect from damp and mould problems that are often well documented in rental properties. As the drive towards Net Zero continues at pace, our wide range of solutions can help you to futureproof your rental property or portfolio against future targets and potentially increase your rental yield as tenants see the value in energy efficient homes. Furthermore, if you eventually come to sell your rental property, improving its energy efficiency now may help to maintain or improve its future value. Our team of specialists are on hand to help and guide you to enhance the energy performance of your property.

Our Products

JA Solar
Our default Solar PV panel is manufactured by JA Solar, a respected and trusted brand of solar panel that is now one of the most used in the UK. Most Solar PV panels have similar performance but in a crowded market, JA Solar have worked hard to deliver consistent supply to the UK market, and they provide a wide range of wattages to ensure that your roof space is fully utilised. With a range of panel sizes, colours and options, we use, like and endorse JA Solar as a reliable brand.

LuxPowerTek
LuxPowerTek are a leading provider of Inverters for Solar PV or Battery-Only Installations. With seamless integration to the Octopus Energy platform, the system automatically identifies the best times to import and store energy which helps to make your Solar PV and Battery Storage system extremely efficient. Backed with a minimum 10-Year Warranty and an easy to navigate monitoring app, we endorse and use LuxPowerTek on many of our installations..

Hanchu ESS
Greenlinx Batteries by Hanchu ESS are the compatible storage system to work in unison with the LuxPowerTek Inverters. Backed with a 10-Year Warranty and in modules of 3.2KWh, Greenlinx batteries are flexible and stackable which means that you can add up to 6 further batteries in the future should your storage requirements change. Unlike some larger battery storage systems, the Greenlinx batteries are relatively small modules that are easier to install without taking up too much space.

Tigo
Tigo are manufacturers of solar panel optimisers. It may be prudent to consider optimising individual solar panels when there is a risk of shading. A traditional string of solar panels will only be as powerful as the weakest performing panel when shaded, whereas optimisers limit the impact of shading across the whole string by maintaining the performance of each individual panel. Tigo Optimisers are reliable and trustworthy, growing to become on of the largest manufacturers of this type of technology.

Awenta Single Room AHR
The Awenta AHR is a single room heat recovery ventilator that has in-built humidity sensors that prompt the system to autonomously extract moist air from within the property. Unlike many other single-room ventilation systems, the Awenta AHR only opens to release stale air when it needs to. The heat recovery element extracts heat as air passes through it and then the system runs in reverse to draw in fresh, filtered and heat recovered air. This is an incredibly efficient way to ventilate the home and it ensures that the heated interior does not suffer from unnecessary heat loss. The Awenta AHR can also be connected throughout the home to multiple devices for a whole house ventilation approach. The data is populated into App technology for analysis.

Awenta Auros MVHR
The Awenta Auros MVHR system is designed for use in new-build homes as a whole house ventilation strategy. With a capacity to cover up to 600 cubic metres of living space, the Awenta Auros is robust, durable and operates silently and autonomously to ensure that moisture, humidity, and temperature equilibrium is maintained within the home for health living. A premium option for homeowners looking for a good quality MVHR, the Auros offers up to 95% heat exchange efficiency and can be monitored and controlled via wireless smartphone application. The purpose of the MVHR is to remove moist and humid air from wet zones such as bathrooms, recovering the heat to deliver fresh, filtered air into other rooms.

Awenta Aquila MVHR
The Awenta Aquila is smaller wall or roof mounted MVHR system that fits a more economical price budget whilst delivering whole house ventilation. With many of the features of the Auros model, the Aquila is robust system that can be used in smaller homes of up to 300 cubic metres in volume. Offering up to 95% heat exchange efficiency and with summertime by-pass, remote monitoring and humidity sensors, the Aquila is comparable to most entry-level MVHR systems in the UK. The Aquila can be used for new-build homes or as a retrofit option into existing homes, however, we would recommend the Awenta single-room AHR with multi-room option if you’re looking to retrofit. The associated ducting required for MVHR systems can often require serious remodelling of the homes décor!

Solar Venti PIV
Solar-Venti is a unique and low running cost Positive Input Ventilation system. Unlike our Awenta range, the PIV is only designed to draw in fresh air to the property, relying on existing ventilation openings to force out any stale or moist air from the home. This strategy doesn’t work for new build homes that are built to airtight, well-insulated standards as there will be limited passive openings. The benefit of the Solar Venti is its ability to heat the air through solar radiation before it enters the home. On a sunny day whether summer or winter, the Solar Venti can deliver heated air at up to 22 degrees. During sunny winter days, this can reduce the burden on your heating systems and should help to keep the ambient temperature within the home at a higher level.

Kensa Ground Source Heat Pumps
Kensa are based in the Southwest of the UK and they manufacture a range of British-made Ground Source Heat Pumps. Specialists in Ground Source technology, Kensa anticipate production of up to 50,000 heat pumps per annum to support growing demand. With a Quiet and Modern design, a hassle-free electrical connection and safe & non-combustible heating, the Kensa range also have smart system management that enables the heat pumps to optimise and run effectively. The high efficiency of the hardware and the easy installation help to make this range of heat pumps a market leader in the UK.

Harnitek Air Source Heat Pumps
Harnitek air source heat pumps are the next generation in domestic air to water heating. This new range is built for exceptional efficiency & reliability, capable of flow temperatures to make it the ideal choice for new and existing heating systems. The Harnitek range offers exceptionally quiet operation, and the lightweight design offers flexible installation options along with free online monitoring. Using R32 refrigerant, the Harnitek offers exceptional cold weather performance and efficiency. With heat pumps supported by the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) and with grants available of up to £6000, it could be a very good time to make the switch to renewables.

Harnitek Heat Boost Fan Coil Radiator
Harnitek Fan Coil Radiators work with a significantly lower water temperature than a traditional radiator. This means that the demands on your heat pump or boiler are significantly lower which helps to increase their lifespan of operation. The integrated fan allows for much greater airflow and can generate heating on demand substantially quicker than traditional radiators. In warmer summer months, a key benefit of the Harnitek Fan Coil is that it works in reverse to provide cooling. This helps to avoid the use of expensive and inefficient fans or air conditioning systems. With only 35 degrees of water flow temperature versus 55-60 degrees for traditional district radiators, the Harnitek Fan Coil is super-efficient.
