Tired of feeling uncomfortable in your home and sick of the cost of heating your property?
With energy bills rising on average 5%* per year can you really afford to rely on poor insulation?
Condensation, dust, mould etc are hidden dangers that can affect the health of you and your home.
If your house has old or poorly fitted fibreglass insulation on the loft floor, then you have outdated building technology in the form of a Cold Roof System.
A Cold Roof allows air to enter your property from the outside whilst heat from the living space rises into the loft and escapes through the roof.
Good insulation in the home is essential in creating a healthy environment with controlled expenditure on heating costs.
When the roof space is insulated between the rafters you have the peace of mind that cold air from the outside will not intrude on your warm home.
We install ThermoFoam, our high performance spray foam insulation, between the rafters of your roof to provide an airtight thermal seal of your home.
Your new Warm Roof system prevents heat that you generate during the winter from escaping from your home, creating a single, ambient environment.
Your insulation not only helps control heat loss, it will also prevent heat from entering during the summer, banishing those uncomfortable sleepless nights!
ThermoFoam is insulation that can future-proof your home against rising energy costs whilst improving the indoor climate.
Made from recycled plastic, known as Polyurethane, ThermoFoam comes in two variants, our Open Cell and Closed Cell foams.
Spray-applied between the rafters of your roof, the liquid material expands within seconds to create an airtight thermal seal of your property.
Insulates, protects and prolongs the life of your roof.
Insulates, soundproofs and prevents water leaks.
Insulates, strengthens and improves soundproofing.
ThermoFoam is a high performance insulation material that offers a breathable yet air tight thermal seal of your home, providing significant heat retention during cold winters.
Insulation isn’t just for the winter! When Summer finally arrives and temperatures rise outside heat passes into your home causing sleepless nights, not to mention the cost of running all those noisy fans!
ThermoFoam insulation can reduce the temperature in your home by up to 15°c helping you control indoor temperatures and banish those endless stuffy nights.
In the unlikely event of a fire, it’s always better to choose an insulation material that protects the structural integrity of your home and most importantly one that does not burn easily.
ThermoFoam is specifically formulated to provide enhanced protection in the event of a fire offering unrivalled performance when compared to many of its competitors, improving your safety.
We’ve clambered around thousands of loft spaces and fundamentally, every loft is different. Some roofs are old and rapidly degrading, some are new and in perfect condition. With two products in our range, it’s unlikely that we can’t find the right solution for you.
Our SucraSeal Open Cell is perfect in situations where there’s a non-breathable membrane or the roof is in a generally good state. The NexSeal Closed Cell is an option where there’s no roofing membrane at all or the structural stability of the existing roof requires additional reinforcement.
A survey of the home is generally the best way for us to assess the most suitable option that will work best for you at which stage, we will discuss your options and the reasons behind our suggestion about which of our products is right for you and your home.
In every case, ThermoFoam will offer significant benefits over traditional forms of insulation. Once installed by us, it will not shrink, fall out, degrade or diminish in performance over its 25 year guarantee period. The foam is designed to last, without degradation, for the life of your roof.
The benefits of a warm roof system will not only keep you warm in the winter but will also deflect heat at its first point of entry during the summer. Customers who have invested in ThermoFoam insulation often feel immediate changes to the ambience of their home.
Very few insulation types can provide the structural stability of our NexSeal Closed Cell whilst SucraSeal is fantastic for soundproofing if you are located on a noisy road. Both have exceptional thermal resistance per inch and this is what helps to make ThermoFoam the best choice for you.
Our installers will take the utmost care of your property and leave it as it was they when they arrived. With the average UK roof being 75 square metres in area, most of our installations are completed within a single day, leaving you to enjoy the benefits of your ThermoFoam system.
When the day arrives for our team to insulate your roof, it’s always helpful to us if the loft is as empty as possible, allowing our installers to navigate their way safely. Our team will lay protective sheeting and will also cover rafter faces, leaving a neat and tidy layer of ThermoFoam in the roof.
It doesn’t matter to us how big your loft space is, there’s usually nothing that our installers can’t handle. Your surveyor will provide as much guidance as possible to ensure that your installation of ThermoFoam runs smoothly and efficiently on the day.
ThermoFoam is more expensive than buying cheap rolls of fibre-based insulation from the local builders merchant and we appreciate that budget may form a part of your decision making. The benefits of ThermoFoam are unrivalled and represent a one time only cost.
If you choose an inferior insulation, you’re committing to the lifelong task of replacing it intermittently. ThermoFoam’s airtight seal helps reduce the cost of cooling your home in the summer and the cost of heating the home during winter, giving you control over your energy bills.
ThermoFoam is cost-effective when you consider its performance. It’s installed once and never requires topping up. It will last with the life of your roof, guaranteed for a minimum of 25 years, backed by an insurance guarantee.
No, not if it’s applied in accordance with Building Regulations. Our SucraSeal foam is low density and very breathable, our NexSeal foam is high density and less breathable. The determining factor will be the type of membrane between your roof tiles and the loft space.
If you have a non-breathable bitumen membrane, we will always install SucraSeal whereas for modern breathable membranes, both SucraSeal or NexSeal are applicable. A survey of your loft and roof is always the most practical way of determining the correct application for your home.
We work closely with Building Scientists to understand and advise on the best applications for our product. The ThermoHome technical team run calculations through specialist software to determine condensation risks based on your roof structure, ensuring correct choices are made.
ThermoFoam will expand and set within 5-10 seconds of its application. Once the install is complete and heat has dissipated, the foam insulation will get to work at retaining generated heat in the winter and deflecting solar gain during the summer.
Whilst you don’t always see the foam hidden in your loft, it is always working for you so its time to let your thermostat do the talking! It will turn off hours earlier than normal and stay off much longer, all this adds to lower energy bills.
Many of our customers comment within hours about how their homes feel much more comfortable and there are virtually no other insulation products that can boast such noticeable effects.
ThermoFoam is manufactured with the environment in mind. Using recycled plastics and the Solstice water-based blowing agent, our products contain no harmful VOC’s or HFC’s to make them one of the most eco-friendly spray foams on earth.
With 17% bio-content and an ultra-low global warming potential (GWP), ThermoFoam spray foams outperform against just about every other competitor, leaving you with peace of mind that when you choose our insulation for your home, your looking after yourself and the environment.
As soon as ThermoFoam has been spray applied between your roof rafters, the finished insulation dries and cures immediately to become completely inert and non harmful.
